Last week, we hosted our biennial Music Camp, with more than 50 students participating in three days of engaging and creative music-making. Students performed as part of a large concert band and choir, while also exploring a variety of specialised music electives, including vocal harmonisation, ukulele, wind ensemble, studio production and mixing tips, live arranging, and collaborative jam sessions. 

A highlight of the camp was the songwriting masterclass, where students worked in groups to compose and perform their own original songs. The creativity, teamwork and musicianship on display was inspiring. 

However, it wasn’t only about the music. Students also enjoyed a lively trivia night, singing around a campfire, and spending time outdoors in the beautiful winter sun where they could strengthen friendships across year groups. The camp concluded with a wonderful parent concert on Saturday afternoon, giving students the opportunity to showcase the skills and repertoire they had developed throughout the three days. We would like to sincerely thank the staff who attended Music Camp and supported our students throughout the experience. Our next adventure is now preparing for the Japan “Cherry Blossom Music Tour" in April 2027.
