Arts
We recognise the contribution of music to the development and wellbeing of all students and seek to offer opportunities of growth throughout our programs. Learning music is known to enhance students’ problem solving and goal setting skills. Music making and music learning involve practice and the continual need to solve multiple small problems in an individual way, which is a form of resilience.
We nurture resilience, creativity, and confidence through music, empowering students to grow, problem-solve, and thrive.
Being part of the music program has boosted my confidence and creativity. I’ve learned so much and love performing with my friends!

Music at Thomas Hassall has been such a big part of my journey. It’s more than just learning an instrument—it’s about teamwork, creativity, and pushing myself to improve.
Performing on stage has given me so much confidence, and the friendships I’ve made through music are unforgettable. The support from teachers is amazing, always encouraging us to grow and challenge ourselves.
I’ve discovered a real passion for music, and it’s something I’ll carry with me forever.
