Duke of Edinburgh International Award
The Duke of Ed Framework challenges students to step out of their comfort zones and embark on a journey of personal growth.
There are three levels that build on the accomplishments of the previous level
- Bronze (from age 14, Year 9)
- Silver (from age 15, Year 10)
- Gold (from age 16, Year 11)
Each level is made up of four sections
- Physical Recreation
- Skill Development
- Voluntary Service
- Adventurous Journey
At the Gold level, there is also a Residential Project, further expanding student’s horizons.
Duke of Ed offers recognition for setting goals and achieving them. It is a transformative experience, fostering service, adventure, resilience, teamwork, persistence, and a sense of responsibility. These values align strongly with our College’s vision of nurturing students who are well-rounded, equipped to make a significant and positive contribution to society.
